American Guard E.J. Blackwell (193-G) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Santiagueno BC, receiving a Hoops Agents Liga MB Player of the Week award for round 3.
The player had a double-double of 33 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat Ahuachapan (#9, 0-3), the league's bottom-ranked team 86-74. Santiagueno is placed at 7th position in Salvadorean Liga MB. Santiagueno is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-2 record. In the team's last game Blackwell had a remarkable 100.0% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Santiagueno, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former Lourdes University star has very solid stats this year. Blackwell is in league's top in points (7th best: 22.3ppg) and averages impressive 2.3spg and 58.3% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was American Daylon Potts (196-G) of MC El Brasil Santa Ana. Potts had a very good evening with a triple-double of 13 points, 27 rebounds and 12 assists. Bad luck as Santa Ana lost that game 91-105 to Metapan (3-0). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Potts is one of the most experienced players at Santa Ana and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.7ppg (#5). His other stats are also decent: 25.7rpg and 6.3apg. Former Simpson University star Potts is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Kadeim Jones (191-G-1999) of Ahuachapan BC (#9). Jones got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for eleven rebounds . Despite Jones' great performance the Ahuachapan lost 74-86 to Santiagueno (#7, 1-2). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Ahuachapan can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 3 games. Jones has individually a great season in El Salvador. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.7ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 10.3rpg (7th best).
